We will happily respond to convos asking for clarification, measurements or images upon request.
We do not manufacture any of these items – they are all pre-owned. New Old Stock may have flaws from its manufacture or previous storage. Due to the nature of these items there may be minor imperfections. We do our best to note the flaws but we may miss trivial ones. Our photography studio lighting is clear and bright, and we do our best to make sure the colours appear accurate.
No refunds are issued based on problems with the fit of a garment. We do not pin items on our forms – all are presented as they hang.
Please measure yourself or a like item of clothing to ensure a suitable fit. Please convo within 48 hours receipt of an item if you intend to request a refund. We will do your best to begin as amenable a process as possible. We will abide by any and all EU guidelines for smooth transactions, and follow all rules and regulations.
Your item must be sent back unworn or unused and in the condition it was sent in (we have reference photos for comparison should any discrepancy or damage from shipping arise.)
We will refund the cost of an item upon our receipt of it, but not the shipping or return shipping unless required by EU consumer guidelines.
The return shipment is at the buyers expense and must be made via a method of shipping that includes a tracking number and signature upon receipt. This is a Paypal requirement.
EU customers, please notify us within 14 days of receiving your purchase if you intend to request a refund as per your Right to Return Directive. We will provide you with any necessary forms and our preferred return address.
We will send a PayPal invoice upon receiving your email address.
We can also take Etransfers to email@example.com .
Payment must be made in full before the item is shipped. If a payment isn’t made within 48 hours, and we have had no conversation, the sale will be cancelled and the item returned to stock.

We do not offer payment plans, but will reserve items for a short time (usually 48 hours) while items are being considered, questions answered and shipping or other terms negotiated. Please convo us to arrange this.
Items are neatly folded, packed in fresh tissue and sent in either water resistant, tear-proof polyethylene envelopes; padded manila envelopes; or bagged and then placed in shipping boxes and wrapped in mylar or postal wrap paper. We take care to protect the items while shipping, and don’t charge for anything other than postal costs. All purchases are shipped through either Canada Post or USPS via ChitChats Express. If you have a FEDEX account, we would be glad to use that if you prefer.
We provide tracking with USPS shipping whenever possible, and only upon your choosing an upgrade if by Canada Post.
Depending on location, delivery time for letters and parcels can be from 6-8 business days, but weeks longer isn’t unheard of when crossing the country.
USA & INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS
We upgrade to the most expedient tracked option whenever possible at no extra charge.
Please note that especially around holidays and due to customs or border issues, shipping times of 10-12 weeks are not uncommon, and even some of the “faster” options are delayed beyond the estimated business days posted. Because each item is unique, we can’t replace items, and request that they are given a little more time to travel.
We will refund after 10 weeks—this based on experience, is the outside time at which items have arrived.
If an item turns up after we’ve refunded, we trust that our honest and understanding customers will contact us and offer to make payment. Though shipping times have been heinous sometimes, nothing has ever been lost and nobody has ever disappointed us!
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE:
It helps us to fill out the customs forms if you’ll provide us with your telephone number— otherwise we substitute our studio line. You are responsible for all VAT, import fees, duties and taxes imposed by your country. We cannot falsify customs forms. These charges are your responsibility, we have no control over this— please do not confuse them with additional shipping charges.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are stored carefully in our studio, which is a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment where we protect everything from dust and light damage as well. If you are shopping for a production project please contact us for details regarding our memo policy – we can provide items “on spec” and can offer bulk prices on multiples. We do our best to measure items in both inches and centimetres and to show scale – but older stock items may not yet have been converted. There are online calculators available, or please convo to confirm or ask questions.
Frequently asked questions
Vintage clothing sizes do not necessarily correspond to modern sizes. Vintage items may have been altered from their original size label, so please trust our measurements. All measurements are taken flat, given in inches and centimeters whenever possible, and often photographed with a ruler for scale. We do not pin items on our forms, and do our best to represent items accurately. Please convo for any questions about fit. We’re industry professionals who are used to working at a distance.
Custom and personalized orders
All of our items have been previously owned, or created as costumes for film and television productions. We do not manufacture, alter or change anything we sell. We cannot customize anything.
We are happy to give our best information about caring for vintage items, but always recommend that owners should do their own research for best practices. As experienced costume industry professionals, we handle a good deal of vintage clothing and accessories and are happy to share our years of knowledge, but can’t be responsible for anything that occurs once the items leave our hands.
Gift wrapping and packaging
We are happy to forward items as gifts, and can happily write a gift tag on white cardstock. We pack every item in fresh white tissue tied with ribbon, as we feel every purchase should be a pleasure to receive. It feels great to be a bright spot in someone’s day! We can avoid, or as we usually do, customize packing receipts so as not to include price, for the sake of discretion.
Please just indicate if it’s a gift, and we’ll do our best to impress.
All of our items are vintage, or unique, and there are no wholesale opportunities. That said, if you are a film or television production, please contact us if you would like to consider a larger purchase or to find out what we might have available through our full-service movie wardrobe rental studio.

Any information collected is used only to facilitate your purchase. We retain any hard copies of the shipping information only as long as guaranteed to ensure your order has been received, then they are shredded. Information submitted to online forms such as Etsy, PayPal, and our use of Stamps.com and ChitChats Express (manifest) is provided to them for the sole purpose of shipping items, and is otherwise subject to their rules and regulations.
